Recently, players voiced their concerns about certain aspects of the game, such as Gambit, Playlist Strikes, and Ritual Armor, on the game’s subreddit. Taking these concerns to heart, the developers have responded with the latest update, version 7.1.0.1, which introduces several important changes and fixes.

One notable change highlighted in the patch notes is related to weapon swapping. Previously, players experienced a two-second delay before being able to shoot after changing weapons. With this update, the delay has been reduced to just one second, allowing for smoother and faster gameplay transitions.

In addition to the weapon swapping improvement, the update also addresses various bugs across different activities. Fixes have been implemented for issues in The Crucible, Salvage, and Guardian Ranks, ensuring a more stable and enjoyable gaming experience.

While some players may find the patch notes to be relatively short in terms of content, it remains to be seen whether these changes will be enough to entice some players back into the game. Major updates in Destiny 2 often see a significant resurgence in the player base, and this update aims to contribute positively to that trend.
